Extra-Grip Non-Slip Bath Mat

★★★★⯨ 4.5/5 Safety & Emergency Under £15

A suction-cup bath mat with proper grip, tested for a month for suction hold, drainage and the mould problem that kills most bath mats.

✔ Get it if: Anyone whose balance isn't what it was, anyone with older parents, or honestly any household bathroom. Falls in bathrooms are no joke after 40.
✖ Skip it if: Textured or non-smooth bath surfaces — suction cups need smooth surfaces to grip.

👍 What’s good

  • Did not shift once in a month of daily showers
  • Drainage holes actually drain — no trapped water
  • No mould or pink slime after 4 weeks (rinse it after use)
  • Machine washable

👎 What’s not

  • Needs a smooth bath surface for the suction to work
  • The rubber smell takes a few days to fade

What it claims to do

It claims hospital-grade grip, mould resistance and drainage that stops water pooling underneath.

What happened when I tested it

A month in the family bathroom, checked weekly for movement, mould and grip when soapy. Deliberately tried to slide it with a foot mid-shower (carefully). It did not move.

📋 Test notes: 30 days daily use. Zero movement. Weekly mould checks clean. Survived a 40° machine wash unharmed.

What I liked

The confidence stepping in and out. This is a product you buy once, think about never, and it quietly prevents a hospital trip. Bought a second one for my mum.

What I didn’t like

First few days it smelled like a tyre fitters. Gone within a week of use.

Price & value

Under £15 for real fall prevention is about the best value on this site.

Worth it or bin it?

Worth it. The least glamorous product I've reviewed and one of the most genuinely important. Under £15 to seriously reduce the most common home accident. Buy one for the older people in your life.
